About the Show
Health 3.0 with Dr. Doug Lucas is a podcast that examines how healthcare can shift from reacting to illness toward building health earlier and more intentionally.
After years practicing within the healthcare system, Dr. Lucas has seen how often care begins only after patients are already sick. Many people want answers, want to feel better, and want to understand what is happening in their bodies, yet find themselves managing symptoms instead of building long-term health.
Health 3.0 exists to change that conversation.
Through solo episodes and in-depth interviews with leading experts, the show explores prevention, personalization, and patient autonomy, with a focus on adding quality of life, not just years to life.
Who the Show Is For
Health 3.0 is for men and women in their thirties, forties, and fifties who are beginning to feel midlife shifts and want to take a more informed role in their health.
The audience includes people who do not want to wait for a diagnosis to take action, who are noticing changes in energy or resilience, and who want science-grounded guidance that is practical and usable. The show helps listeners understand their health earlier, ask better questions, and make informed decisions before problems become diagnoses.
The Health 3.0 Framework
Health 1.0 existed before modern systems. Health 2.0 is the system most people experience today, designed around acute problems, infections, and trauma.
Health 3.0 is what comes next.
It is preventive. It is personalized. It focuses on adding life to your years, not just years to your life.
Rather than rejecting modern medicine, the show explores how clinical care, science, and technology can be used earlier and more effectively to support long-term health.
About the Host
Dr. Doug Lucas, DO is a double board-certified physician with training in orthopedic surgery and anti-aging and regenerative medicine. He completed his surgical training at Stanford University and spent nearly a decade practicing as an orthopedic surgeon, treating complex musculoskeletal conditions and managing long-term patient outcomes.

He currently serves as Vice President of Health and Hormone Optimization at LifeMD, where he helps lead prevention-focused, education-driven care initiatives through modern virtual healthcare models.
He is the founder of The OsteoCollective, an international education platform dedicated to evidence-based bone health and aging, and the author of best-selling books on osteoporosis and hormone health. His work centers on prevention, patient education, and helping people take a more informed role in their long-term health.
LifeMD is a healthcare company that partners with physicians to deliver evidence-based care through modern, virtual-first platforms.
For guests of Health 3.0, LifeMD’s involvement reflects the clinical and operational environment in which Dr. Lucas practices today. The company supports care models that emphasize patient education, earlier intervention, and continuity, rather than one-time, episodic treatment.
As the platform powering Health 3.0, LifeMD provides the infrastructure that allows clinicians to reach patients beyond traditional settings while maintaining clinical standards, reinforcing the show’s focus on prevention, access, and informed engagement.
